Scatter Square Dance
Rationale
Square dancing is a social activity that encourages cooperation among participants, and provides a medium for aerobic exercise throughout people's lives. Scatter square dancing provides a non-threatening way to introduce individuals to square dancing, young and old. Some moves in scatter square dancing are the same as those in traditional square dancing, and others are different. Either way, the moves are relatively easy, dancers change partners much more frequently, and the success of an entire group or square does not depend on one individual or couple, as is often the case in traditional square dancing.
