Step 7: Elaborate about movement
Along with flexibility and fluency, elaboration is a key element of creativity identified by Torrance (1974). Elaboration concerns the amount and kind of detail provided in a story to make it more interesting and/or clear. A first step in elaborating about movement can be to list descriptors for any ideas brainstormed for a topic. In Table 1 (See Step 3), characteristics of "gumball" include "hard", "hollow", "round" and "sticky." Each of these characteristics is incorporated into the "sticky situation" creative drama except "hollow." This drama, along with other examples, are accessible below.
