Dr. Tang is a Professor in the Department of Physics and Engineering at Bethel University, Minnesota. Prior to joining Bethel, His research interests span wireless communications and networking, computer networks, cloud and fog computing, embedded systems, the Internet of Things (IoT), FPGAs, and modeling and performance evaluation.

Dr. Tang brings extensive industry experience in wireless product design, development, and management to his academic work, providing a strong connection between research and real-world engineering applications. He is also actively engaged in professional service, having served as an editor-in-chief, editor, and guest editor for international journals and as a program committee chair and member for numerous international conferences. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed research papers and is a Senior Member of IEEE.
