Black Psychology:

• A good resource: Even the Rat Was White by Robert V. Guthrie (re-issued in 2004 in Allyn and bacon's Classics of Psychology.

• Go to The Association of Black Psychologists , look at the site, and read online issues of Psych Discourse to get an idea of the current concerns of the association. The association also sponsors The Journal of Black Psychology.

• Early Black Psychologists:

  • Francis Cecil Sumner, considered to be the father of Black AmericanPsychology. Here is a student project site on Sumner.
