A memorial fund in her name was established in 2003 at the Latin America Mission. Enough monies came in for an outdoor amphitheater to be built in her name at the Colegio Latinoamericano in Cartagena, Colombia, a Christian grade school and high school run by the mission where Phyllis Howard taught for many years. The children in this school were one of her great loves.
