RESEARCH
What is a summer research program?
Summer research programs, often termed research experiences for undergraduates (REU), are an opportunity to travel, do high level research at a major research institution, learn more about graduate school. Summer research programs are typically devoted to developing talented undergraduate students and connecting them with graduate school. These programs run from late May or early June through late July or early August.  They generally provide a variety of social events, housing, and a stipend (that also covers some travel).

Why might you be interested?
Summer research programs are a great way to learn if graduate school is right for you.  These programs also provide an opportunity to sample a field related to your area of expertise that is unavailable here at Bethel.  Finally, summer research programs are a great way to meet people who are interested in research and to develop your research network.
